Prints and plinth on display
For my Free Art course, theĀ final was to create a poster or print and print it on a ream of paper. These prints would have to be displayed on a plinth of the artist's choice. This project was based on the work of artists like Felix Gonzalez-Torres, who would often create works that are meant for the audience to take. This illustration and design is meant to educate people on anxiety through the front side, displaying an small comic-like illustration, a place to reflect and learn more on the back. I chose to do this topicĀ based on feeling more anxious throughout the pandemic and feeling less outgoing than before. This makes it so that the stigma of social anxiety, and anxiety in general, is more approachable for the average person. The plinth is meant to give off a space that is lived in and comfortable, making it so that it looks appealing to anyone passing by. It was nice to consider how choosing my display can effect someone's impression on a piece.
