Inspired by "Sunburned Shirts" by Car Seat Headrest
This project is meant to represent white space in music through white space in posters. For these posters, I took into account materiality and the white space theories of designer Kenya Hara, specifically the importance of simplicity in his book White. In addition, I focused a lot of Gestalt theory, specifically for the poster on the right, by creating simple strokes and emphasizing shadows in order to suggest an entire landscape. The process of making these two posters was a learning experience and I had a lot of fun playing around with textures, text, and the simplicity found in photos and illustrations.
